Wartook Valley in the “sunny, mediterranean” northern section of the Grampians National Park is 3 hours west of Melbourne and 5 hours east of Adelaide.

Situated 30km north of Halls Gap, the Northern Grampians offer breathtaking natural beauty on a grand scale, with magnificent sunrises, sunsets and night skies.The colours, shapes and textures of the mountain range combine to create an impressive landscape.

The area surrounding the Wartook Valley is steeped in aboriginal and pioneer history and is one of the richest flora areas in the park with spectacular wildflower displays in late winter through spring.

SIGHTSEEING

Mount Zero, Hollow Mountain and Mount Staplyton are located just a few minutes away and some of the most spectacular Grampians waterfalls are within easy reach, including the majestic Mackenzie Falls. The Black Range contains a rich diversity of plant and animal species and offers a natural experience in relative seclusion.
The Grampians region has close to 200 known Aboriginal rock art sites, and several are to be found in both the Black Range and Wartook region.
